Jeff,

One of my clients needs to install Crypt::SSLeay on a RaQ4 so they can
use authorize.net.
They both say to do a full install of OpenSSL from source code; the
older one says not create test certs.
Can anyone verify that either of these did work properly for them? Or
that something else worked properly for them?
I did this a couple a years ago to get the OpenSRS client on a 4r.
What I did was install OpenSSL-0.9.6a in the default location (can't
remember what that was) but since OpenSSL on a Raq4 is in a nonstandard
location, it isn't touched.
Then when Net::SSLeay is installed it automatically looks in the standard
location and bingo, installs fine.
This way you don't have to worry about messing with the Raq4's OpenSSL.
