you didn't want to install that php-mysql rpm from redhat... it installed a
bad mysql.so...  do a "locate mysql.so" and maybe you can find the one you
made and put in where it belongs...   I'll see if I can build some free
versions sometime soon...  maybe then I won't have to read all this...  well
you know...
