I'm going through the attempt to upgrade my xtr to use 550
software. The first time through, I told it to use raid 5 the first
time through with disasterous results because the default 550 CD does
not support it. Effectively that left me with an unstable 30G of storage.
I am trying again with RAID 0 - which was my only other choice. Though
now when I examine /proc/mdstat I get the following:
Personalities : [raid0] [raid1] [raid5]
read_ahead 1024 sectors
md4 : active raid0 hdi4[3] hdg4[2] hde4[1] hdk4[0]
92638976 blocks 64k chunks
md1 : active raid1 hdk1[0] hdi1[3] hdg1[2] hde1[1]
4095936 blocks [4/4] [UUUU]
md2 : active raid1 hdk2[0] hdi2[3] hdg2[2] hde2[1]
1536128 blocks [4/4] [UUUU]
md3 : active raid1 hdk3[0] hdi3[3] hdg3[2] hde3[1]
524544 blocks [4/4] [UUUU]
unused devices: <none>
Before I go ahead an finish updating I'd like to know how to verify
that this set up - is stable and useable.
