You Loose official support for your kernel...  while Duncan Laurie does make
one I think it's safe to say we don't know how long that will continue...  I
also think we can say for certain that Sun will not make updates when and if
Duncan stops...  Also we cannot make the whole package anyways because Sun
does not release everything needed to rebuild it on our own...

I would also say you will loose some capacity/performance...
