AFAIK nothing to loose.

RaQs use Linux, therefore there are really no cpu / loads performance
issues
You will be switching from Linux 2.2.x to 2.4.x which is 'improvement'
We have converted 100+ RaQ3s (500Mhz) and RaQ4x to RaQ500 and have had
no issues other than the kernel patches, which thanks to Duncan Laurie
and Brian Smith have not been a problem.
We have been running RaQ550 OS on 500Mhz RaQ3s for 14 months, and its
GOOD!
