This is what I'm thinking. I've seen reference to that being the case with tar - a 2 gig limit. Not sure how I'll be able to break it down (in half) with raqbackup unless I could make to instances of it run.. but might be simpler to just use some other script to send the data over to the remote backup machine (with tape).
