Thanks for the help. Eventually I got everything working using a mixture of 3
different operating systems!
I have a problem with ASP however. Can anyone tell me where to find the most
recent Chili!ASP update. There was (I think) a 3.8.0 which included all the
Spicepack. Can't seem to find a copy of the file due to Sun's woeful support
implementation and re-naming of products. I can't start the server presently
(unsurprising post-installation of the PHP upgrade from pkgmaster) and would
like to get the version up.
Thanks again.
For anyone interested the steps on a RaQ4i were:
Install mkisofs (don't ask how I managed this...)
Download ISO from ftp://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/iso
Download all packages from ftp.cobalt.com
"MKDIR /home/iso"
FTP (binary) packages into /home/packages
"CHOWN root.root /home/packages/*"
[don't know whether above step necessary]
FTP (binary) ISO folder up into /home/iso
"MOUNT -o loop /home/iso/<iso name> /mnt"
[above allows you to use ISO like a connected CD]
Then following Bruce's instructions:
"MKDIR /home/osrcd"
"CD /home/mnt"
"TAR -c * | tar -C /home/osrcd -xf -"
"CP /home/packages/* /home/osrcd/nfsroot-x86/bto-sync/bundles/"
"CD /home/osrcd"
"MKISOFS -P YourName -b boot/eltorito.img -c boot/boot.catalog -R -l -L -o
/tmp/filename.iso ."
Once I had the ISO created I grabbed it back to my Windows machine and copied it
across to a Mac with a CD burner to write. Success!
