John,
Make sure you have a backup. I'm not an expert. Use as your own risk.

rpm --install --force bwmgmt-1.0.0_2.4.16C12_V-1.i386.rpm
/sbin/reboot
The info above worked for me. It will revert your kernel back a couple
versions. After the reboot one drive will be bad. If you reboot again it
will come up as good.
My suggestion would be to note which drive it says is bad and replace it.
Then bring the kernel back up to date. That's what I plan.
If you have already applied the latest kernel package, then, as far as I
know, you will need to extract the RPMs from the newer kernel package to
bring it back up to date. I saw a post by Michael Stauber on how to extract
the RPMs.
wget
http://ftp.cobalt.sun.com/pub/packages/raq550/all/the-actual-package-name.pk
g
/usr/bin/gpg --output filename.tar.gz --decrypt RaQ550-*.pkg
tar xzvpf filename.tar.gz
cd RPMS
rpm --install --force the-actual-rpm-name.rpm
rpm --install --force the-actual-rpm-name.rpm
rpm --install --force the-actual-rpm-name.rpm
/sbin/reboot
Make sure you have a backup. I'm not an expert. Use as your own risk.
If someone has an easier way to do this, please let me know.
