Sounds like a possible ROM version problem. You said this was a RaQ 3 you're
trying to rebuild? Fixing it without an OS on the server will be hard
though. You should be able to do a "safe boot" from the kernel in ROM
though...
> How do I do to connect in console mode?
Connect a null-modem serial cable between the RaQ console port (usually marked
with a single dot) and the laptop serial port. Start terminal software on
the laptop, listening at 115200 bps, N-8-1 parity. That should echo what's
happening on the RaQ during the install process. If you don't see any text
on the laptop once the RaQ is powered up, the console port may be disabled.
To test/set the console port status, power off the RaQ. Hold in the password
reset button with a paperclip (small hole next to the LCD) and power up the
RaQ.
If you see "CONSOLE ON" then the console was disabled, and it's now enabled.
If you see "CONSOLE OFF" then the console was enabled and you've now disabled
it. So power off the RaQ immediately, continue holding in the password reset
button, and power on the RaQ again. You should now see "CONSOLE ON".
Release the password reset button and allow the RaQ to continue booting...
