Thanks Gavin and the rest. That helps tremendously. Seems our host who
claim to be Cobalt experts were unaware of that. The cobalt's have been
great until a rebuild and restore so I guess we know where the source of
our problem lies.
Again thanks all.

Terry, I don't think Richard made it quite clear enough for you so as an
ex Cobalt employee who fought for this to be fixed let me explain it
more fully.
The RaQ4 GUI based backup has a critical fault in it it won't restore
i.e. it doesn't work as it fails the main requirement.
The only backups on the Cobalt range that work as far as I know are the
Qube3 and possibly the RaQ550.
You best bet is to use the neuhaus one above this or modified versions
of it are what I think most people on this list would be using its very
powerful and works.
Hope this helps make it clearer it was always my biggest worry that
people would use it and then only realize when it didn't restore which
typically most people only find out when they need it to work most. I
wanted a quick fix to remove the button until we had it fixed but hey a
lot was going on at the time when Sun acquired us and it got buried.
Regards
Gavin
