Yes i forgot to changed the ownership...Later ,I changed the ownership to
root:httpd to the access file....

Yes restarted the httpd.... First time as i said in my email... I created the
*access* file then restarted.. But access log did not generate. After that i
changed the ownership only... As soon as i changed the ownership without
restarting it started generated......
Though this is little bit confusing to me... That means afer restart also the
access log was inactive till the ownership being changed....
Anyway thanks again for the help....
