PKG is a "wrapper" around content, usually RPMS, with an installation shell
script bundled within, as well as some content metadata to build the
"Installed Software" list in the admin UI with.
Info about PKG file format, etc, can be found at http://developer.cobalt.com/.
There are two main formats: RaQ 4 and earlier, and the newer "Sausalito"
format for Qube 3, XTR, and RaQ 550. Within each major category, there can
be slight variations from platform to platform. Generally Qube 3 and XTR are
similar, and RaQ 550 is separate (Sausalito changed a fair amount from the
Qube 3 release).
