This has been covered in the mailing list before, but I swear I could not
implement any of the solutions previously provided!
Here is the problem we are having:
We are getting this error message for a particular user of our e-mail
services on a RaQ4 server:
"The server for account userX@xxxxxxxxxx returned the error '[IN-USE]
/var/spool/mail/.userX.pop lock busy! Is there another session active? (11)'
Your username/pasword or security settings may be incorrect."
The user is connecting to the mail server using Microsoft Entourage for Mac.
I have tried going on the mail server directly using telnet, but I cannot
for the life of me find the '.userX.pop' file! There is a file merely named
'userX' in the /var/spool/mail/ directory, but I was loathe to just out and
out delete it until I knew if that was this user's actual account file or
just a locking file.
I am a Linux novice, so maybe there is just some switch I am miising on the
'ls' command to find this file? It's a bit strange regardless...
Thanks in advance!
