I had a problem with the sobig.F virus, Frisk said that in order to catch the new virus, you needed the new virus definitions and you needed to update to a newer version of their software. I updated mine, screwed it up, Steve fixed it for me. Now it catches the virus I was having a problem with and it also catches the newer, such as Swen. Mailscanner on it's own could catch a lot of the sobig.F as they had attachments that are not permitted within the default settings of mailscanner. Some got through though.
Thus, your solution is to update F-Prot. Steve posted some instructions a few days ago. You need to make a few changes, download a file from his site and replace the script. Change the update file with the newer one provided by F-Prot in the new install. The version of F-Prot to download is the workstation version.
