I have an 80GB raq550 here whose raid resynch problem persists even with the
2.4.19C9_V-1 kernel patch applied.
If I boot with the rom kernel the drives do manage to resynch, and
/proc/mdstat reports a disk failure.
If it ended there, I would happily have have replaced the disk. However, if
I then reboot with the C9 kernel, the drives DO resynch and /proc/mdstat
shows a clean bill of health.
Then, hours (sometimes days) later, it reverts to the resynch/reboot
routine; doing another rom reboot always stabilises it, if only for a short
while.
Has anyone seen this behaviour? Is there any tool that might give me a
"second opinion" on the state of the disk?
Thanks for your time, Julian
