[cobalt-users] [Raq3] Procmail upgrade/configuration questions

After searching the archives and not finding specifically what I was looking
for, I'm posting the question here.

I would like to set up procmail globally on the server, so that all recipes
apply to all email boxes.  I found some stuff in the archives, but it didn't
pertain to this particular situation I'm interested in.  Can anyone point to
a tutorial on this that is specific to the Raq3?

Second, does anyone have advice on upgrading the default procmail (version
3.14-2) to the newest version (3.22)?  Is it safe to simply compile the new
version and replace the binary?

The mail system on the Raq is my area of least expertise, so be gentle :)
