Hi all,
I decided today to do some long overdue updating of the updates on my
RaQ4i.
I downloaded the updates from:
http://sunsolve.sun.com/pub-cgi/show.pl?target=cobalt/raq4.eng&nav=patchpage
I installed the following updates (in this order):
RaQ4-All-Kernel-2.0.1-2.2.16C35-III-1.pkg
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-15578.pkg
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-16306.pkg
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-16342.pkg
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-16409.pkg
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-16343.pkg
RaQ4-All-Kernel-2.0.1-2.2.16C37-III-1-2.pkg
RaQ4-All-System-2.0.1-16494.pkg
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.2-16487.pkg
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-16561.pkg
I skipped the following updates:
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-16402.pkg (Sendmail) *
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-16429.pkg (Sendmail) *
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-16358.pkg (VIM) **
* skipped because I already had the pkgmaster.com Sendmail update installed
** reading the comments from others on this list made me think it's not
worth the risk upgrading this package
After these updates it seems all my Mailing Lists on the Cobalt stopped
working (normal users e-mail is still working). When I try to send
e-mail to on of my mailing lists I get the following error message:
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
(reason: 550 5.1.1 <list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>... User unknown)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to mail.mydomain.com.au.:
>>> RCPT To:<list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> NOTIFY=FAILURE,DELAY
<<< 550 5.1.1 <list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>... User unknown
550 5.1.1 <list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>... User unknown
It seems that my lists appear in the /etc/mail/virtusertable and in the
/etc/mail/aliases.majordomo files.
Anyone has got an idea how where to have a look?
Kind regards,
Edwin
