Can anyone give me an idea why a server might just stop listening on certain
IP addresses? We've got a box that is hosting 5 IP addresses (for various
different reasons) and until this morning everything was running fine. The
box was rebooted today and it hung while trying to disconnect from the
network and subsequently just "turned off" to complete the reboot process.
When it came back up, it was no longer listening to two IP addresses in the
middle of our range.
I checked portsentry, ipchains and pmfirewall. Everything looks "Normal" (I
have another box to compare it to)
I checked the routing tables, everything looks good there too.
I ran ifconfig and the box seems to think everything is OK.
My provider ran NEOTrace, and it appears that my box is not responding to
any calls on those IP addresses.
Where else should I look to figure this out?
