[cobalt-users] Empty maillog file, not rotating

For some reason our Qube3 does not rotate to a new maillog file once the day
changes and keeps logging the new day on maillog.1, any ideas why?  It has
done it twice in an interval of probably 40 days.  I realize because SMA
gets its statistics from /var/log/maillog and I went to look at it today and
the html file generated by SMA was empty as well, I went and checked at the
maillog file and it was empty.  I went and checked and maillog.1 file and it
was logging today's activities instead of rotating to the maillog file like
it should.  Any ideas why this is happening?  It doesn't happen too often
and when it does happen I just reboot the server and then it finally rotates
to the maillog file, any ideas how I can rotate it without having to reboot?
Luckily it does not happen too often but I would like to get it fixed.
