since yesterday im getting huge amounts (about 100/hour) of these emails and spamassassin seems not to be able to identify them at high rates. seems their sending spam with faked sender address to non existing addresses ... which then bounces back to my catch-all account from the valid server. most servers dont include the full headers, so unlike in this example, you can see where the mail actually came from any ideas how to get rid of those without blocking real mailer errors ?
Hi!The same here for me. All these emails look like that someone abused the my server/domain and these are the feedbacks from the unreachable receivers.
But my mail-log shows nothing that I'd sent these eMails. I got no formmail which would open a nice security hole. The server is kinda secure for relaying, too. No really Idea what's that all about. First I feard an abuse of my cms system but if you guys tell me you got the same problems since 1-2 days...
I don't want to delete my catch-all because I use several aliases. Right now my local spamfiler filters all these emails out, but I still worry somehow about abusing my server for sending spam...*sigh*
