RE: [cobalt-users] OT - Spam from my domain not my IP

-----Original Message-----

Hi everybody,

I just got an email from an angry postmaster about receiving spam from my
main domain.
Checking the spam message I realized that one of the mail's lines says :

"Received: from my-domain-name.com ([213.235.74.34]) " which is NOT my IP
nor is among this server's IPs.

What can be done to avoid this domain forgery ?

(I'm sorry if this issue is too general for this list, more specific forums
names are welcomed)

Jorge,

You can NOT do anything, as you can not stop anyone from spoofing/forging
your domain name. The receiving email server can be setup to verify the
connections are who they say they are, via reverse dns and what not. Sorry
to say, your just another victim of SPAM.
