To prevent spam, many mail servers today require that your smtp server has a reverse DNS record. You have the forward record (the domainname.com points to the specific ip.ad.dre.ss), but you need the reverse (the ip.ad.dre.ss must point to your domainname.com) This is called a pointer or reverse (often abbreviated PTR) record. You can set this up in your DNS settings on the Raq, but it may or may not do you any good.
You will need to find out from your ISP, who has the authoritative DNS server for the ip number in question. Most likely, you are authoritative for your domain name, but often it is the ISP who is authoritative for the ip address. (The domain name is yours, but the ip address you can never take with you to the next ISP, thus it is theirs). It is likely that you will have to ask them to put in the pointer record for you.
