[cobalt-users] [RaQ4r] /siteX/logs/mail.log etc not being updated.

I've noticed that for none of my sites on a RAQ4r the mail.* logs aren't
being updated since June 18.

Now, June 18th was the day I had a serious problem by filling up the root
disk space, and I had to remove the unit, clear some space and restore the
corrupted password / shadow files (the unit fell over as a new user was
added).

Now the likelihood is that these events are connected (!), but does anyone
know how to restart the updating of the mail.log etc?

Here's a typical ls -lh

/home/sites/site16/logs
-rw------- 1 root site16 39k Aug 16 04:02 ftp.cache
-rw-r--r-- 1 root site16 214k Aug 16 04:02 ftp.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root site16 47k Aug 16 04:02 ftp.stats
-rw------- 1 root site16 54k Jun 18 04:30 mail.cache
-rw-r--r-- 1 root site16 163k Jun 18 04:30 mail.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root site16 47k Jun 18 04:30 mail.stats
-rw------- 1 root site16 6.0M Aug 27 04:39 web.cache
-rw------- 1 root site16 6.0M Aug 28 04:39 web.cache.new
-rw-r--r-- 1 root site16 1.7M Aug 28 04:39 web.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root site16 709k Aug 24 04:39 web.log.1.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root site16 1.3M Aug 28 04:39 web.stats

the main daily log is still being produced:
/var/log
-rw------- 1 root root 282k Aug 28 13:40 maillog
-rw------- 1 root root 80k Aug 28 04:35 maillog.1.gz

and the /etc/passwd & shadow files...
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9642 Aug 25 12:56 passwd
-rw------- 1 root root 9675 Aug 25 12:56 passwd-
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 542 Jan 31 2001 passwd.master

-r-------- 1 root root 8162 Aug 25 12:56 shadow
-r-------- 1 root root 8166 Aug 22 14:16 shadow-

kind regards,
Liam
