on the windows 2000 Computer:
Start / RUN / then type "cmd" to launch the dos command prompt, then at
prompt type:
IPCONFIG
and press enter,
This should reset your ethernet to reflect the new changes of IP and Subnet.
Note the output will dispaly:
Adapter Domain Name:
DNS Server:
IP Address:
Subnet Mask:
Default Gateway:
what you should look at the last 3 above.
Windows 2000 and XP do not require a reboot after changing IP and Subnet,
just
run IPConfig.
