Brian's suggestion for obtaining and applying the patches is an
efficient way to get the job done.

BUT... make sure you do it from behind a firewall! (Or at least a $49
Linksys broadband router with NAT enabled.)  

It doesn't take long for an unpatched machine to be compromised, if it's
connected directly to the internet!
