A quick and easy way to get at the email would be to copy the
email to an account which you can access:
formail -f -s sendmail Working@xxxxxxxxxxxxx < /path/to/users-mailbox
The above will not delete the messages in the mailbox but rather
forward a copy of the all the messages to Working@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Your problem with Pine not being able to create the the folder is
more than likely one of permissions. There's a great FAQ on Washington U's
Pine distribution page. The URL escapes me and I don't have time to find
it for you but a search for 'pine home' on Google will surely do it and
the FAQ is well worth reading.
