Hi All,
I've been busy moving things from RaQ4's to RaQ550's. Anyway, besides
one coming with a dead CMOS battery (It is a CR2032, btw), have not had
too many issues. Except for one...
While at the office it checked out fine, everything got patched up, and
didn't see any issues. However, now that this particular 550 was placed
in the datacenter, and now that I need to use it, I find out that this
550 is rebooting itself between 8 - 16 times a day.
The monitoring page only shows 'green' for disk integrity, with
white-n/a for everything else (DNS would be because do not use it). I
know I checked this status page before it was rack'd, and didn't really
check on it again until it was needed (well, 'last' shows it started as
soon as it was placed at the datacenter, but hard to tell with all the
legit reboots for patches the day before). I had the fans checked and
they are working, but the cpu temperature is 46 with no load and no
sites?
Other 550's are running at 35-40 in same cabinet so will definitely have
to check into air-circulation, unless this is normal compared with
RaQ4's (cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep temp)? At another network-center, all
the raq4's located there average 25-30 degrees? But don't have any
RaQ4's at same datacenter as 550's (or vice versa) to make an
apple->apple comparison on temps
At this point, I am ready to do an OS restore... (?, any other
suggestions)
Or, return/replace it because it is less than 2 weeks old...
