Re: [cobalt-users] Qube 2 memory in a Qube 3

Hi, Greg--

I believe not. I have several indications that the Qube 2 has 72-pin RAM of
the 3.3V kind that is hard to find, while the Qube 3 has 168-pin PC-100,
cheap and easy to find. So it should not be costly to put more RAM in the
Qube 3 and in fact, you might have a PC lying around with the RAM you need.

But, if you have to buy it, I quickly found this outfit, which knows Qube 3
RAM specks:

For the Qube 3, they have 128Mb for $36 and 256Mb for $62. In contrast, for
the Qube 2 they only sell a 128Mb chip for $60.

See http://q.seeto.com/faq.html for a good discussion of Qube models.
