Hmm.. my experience differs. I never had any problems with sun. All their sparc systems are fine, Solaris is fine, support is fine (and all at the same company is most excellent).
Now this cobalt thing ... that's a different story altogether.. it's sooo NOT Sun. They sell it, but that's about it. Just like buying our main server from a man on the street. If only their support was up to par with their sparc/solaris support.
Personally I think it's a wise decision they are dropping the whole Cobalt line. If you can't do it properly you might as well ditch it. Too bad for us owners/users though, because the cobalt is in potential an exceptional concept.
