Can anyone give a definitive answer as to how to enable console access on a
RaQ4? I've googled for this but have found many responses, none of which
seem to work for me.

1) Which RS-232 port should I be using?

Port 1 (single dot marking it).

2) Which front panel button needs to be held in during power-up? If none,
what else needs to be done?

To ensure the console port is enabled, you hold in the password reset button (with paperclip etc) during poweron. A message will display in the LCD: CONSOLE ON or CONSOLE OFF. If it shows CONSOLE OFF, it *was* enabled and you disabled it. Power off the RaQ right away, hold in the button again, and power on. Once you see the CONSOLE ON message, release the button.

I think on the RaQ it's enabled by default. Qube is disabled by default so that a modem can be connected.
