Anyone have quick ideas on this ?
The gui admin on our RaQ4 has decided to just give "page cannot be
displayed" generic page not found browser error messages, when we try to
access http://servername/admin
Also gives same when trying
http://servername:81/.cobalt/sysManage/index.html
this one would be https://
Server is still displaying client websites without error (leading me to
believe apache is fine, perl is fine, php is fine, mysql fine, and so
on)
Can ssh to the server just fine.
And upon more investigation, here is what we see (note after each
command issued browser was checked to see if it could access the gui,
but each time still failed):
[root /]# ./etc/rc.d/init.d/admserv status
ahttpd dead but subsys locked
[root /]# ./etc/rc.d/init.d/admserv reload
Reloading admserv: ahttpd
[root /]# ./etc/rc.d/init.d/admserv restart
Stopping admin web server: ahttpd
Starting admin web server:
Invalid certificates for main site -- Not starting SSL
/usr/sbin/httpd.admsrv
[root /]# ./etc/rc.d/init.d/admserv stop
Stopping admin web server: ahttpd
[root /]# ./etc/rc.d/init.d/admserv start
Starting admin web server:
Invalid certificates for main site -- Not starting SSL
/usr/sbin/httpd.admsrv
[root /]#
To my knowledge we had not ever configured the server to require or use
SSL for the gui admin. (which is why the message about invalid
certificates puzzles me)
did you have a selfsigned certificate?
I'm hesitant to do reboot of the server (cause downtime to clients etc.)
itself, would like to know if anyone else has ideas of what could be the
cause here before I go to that step.
It is obvious the admin server having the problem. Hopefully someone with
the same problem will answer soon for you
