What does the file look like?
it should have something like;
ip.add.re.ss in ptr some.domain.tld.
With some.domain.tld being the domain it points to.
You can also use "dig -x ip.add.re.ss"
And see if it domes up with the correct domain
If that doesn't give the correct answer
try "dig -x @nameserver.tld 1p.add.re.ss"
