I am not quite clear what you mean below.
"Upgrade ROM using Raq4 option"?
Upgrade it from where? Option? I don't quite understand.
I have a spare Raq4 here and would LOVE to have the interface of the
Raq550....

Sorted it. It needed a CMOS restore, 'E' button pressed while powering
up.
So for the sake of the archives and to get everything in one message.
Boot with 550 OS restore disk.
Upgrade ROM using Raq4 option and select ROM version 2.9.34 When
complete boot while pressing 'E' to restore CMOS. Boot again with 550 OS
Restore CD.
Job done.
Plus it does not seem to like Maxtor HDD.
Now I just need to look at the updates issues.
Thanks for your time Gerald.
