Howdy all,
just been 'playing' with Vertias Netbackup to a recently OSRCD'd XTR.
I get a partial success on the restore with 9 files missing. I just
looked through the report (40 thousand lines of junk) and found what I
take to be 7 of these, the operation being
Could not Create File /home/opt/open/netbackup/bin/tar: Text file busy
..
..
Could not Create File /usr/bin/Perl.00503/ :Text file busy
..
..
Could not Create File /usr/sbin/httpd/ :Text file busy
and so on
The XTR seems to come back mostly intact, except the main web server
daemon isnt running, the error log goes on about Apache.pm being older
(version 1.27). I take it some fairly important files are missing as a
result of the restore and the defaults from the osrcd gave therefor
not been overwritten (as above)
Has anyone come across this - whats the significance of the 'Text file
Busy' lark?
I performed the restore as according to the manual, doing nothing more
than setting the network settings, veritas client settings and locking
the UI.
Do I have to kill the services too (the only thing I can personally
think have httpd 'busy')??
thanks in advance
