I answered my own question! :)
I kept on searching for anything relating to why my FTP wouldn't
authenticate.
I found that under /etc/pam.d the FTP file was no longer there.
I had to recreate it, and ftp is working again.
Just thought I would post it if anyone else had similar issues.
