Hi,
Catching up with some updates on a Cobalt RaQ4. When I try and install
RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-15959.pkg I receive a "Problem installing package
component: postgresql-7.0.2-2C4.i386.rpm" in the GUI. I know there were
some problems installing this update if certain versions of PHP were
installed on the server. However, I haven't installed any third party PHP
packages on this server.
As recommended for a similar error on this list, I went:
# rpm -qa | grep postgres
to see if there were any old versions of the rpm installed. I found
postgresql-7.0.2-2C1. In the past I've removed older RPMs and then
installed new ones when I received this error. However, as postgresql is so
critical to the RaQ, I figured I'd run this past the list first. Think it's
OK to:
# rpm -e postgresql-7.0.2-2C1
and then install the update? Or am I asking for trouble?
Regards,
Andrew
