Hi,

I've been using:

1) The Bassi mailscanner package.  Review
http://list.cobalt.com/pipermail/cobalt-users/2002-July/074175.html.  Don't
know if there's a version for the RaQ 550 yet.  You probably should contact
the developer.
2) SpamAssassin
3) POP before SMTP
4) A manual update in sendmail.cf to reject email from open relay servers
which are commonly used by spammers.  Review
http://list.cobalt.com/pipermail/cobalt-users/2002-August/076672.html.  I
heard the Bassi mailscanner package was supposed to install something like
this, but I already had my sendmail.cf file changed.  Perhaps the developer
of the package could clarify?

I have been able to cut spam to a minimum, but as always, some messages
squeeze through.
