yes, it should have read - your secured sub-domain.

Yes, it does take longer Steve - so I'd only recommend doing it on a sub-domain with the SSL cert - ie, secure.yourdomain.com.

I don't doubt that it has it's issues using this method - so you're right to point them out - I only answered the user's question! If it has "implications" - they were not asked about (and I never gave them much thought either).

fwiw - we don't force https on our secured sub-domains!
