Re: [cobalt-users] 2 RaQ 550 Questions

The unix-box currently working as mailserver is not a cobalt product but some pieces of scrap metal and somethign called easygate put together... This easygate is seriously flawed (for one thing if you don't close your webmail session other users might be able to send mail as you).

The question is can I somehow import the users that are in /etc/passwrd and /etc/shadow into the RaQ 550 site-users?
CMU comes close but seem to work only from cobalt -to- cobalt

if I copy a user entry from /etc/passwrd and /etc/shadow (by hand) from the old-linux machine to the RaQ 550 it does work on the RaQ 550.

Any (smart) ideas how to proceed?

Sometime ago I did a migration and, did a cut and paste,
backup the shadow on the 550, then opened a shell session
on the Raq4 and one on the 550, and cut and paste between them.

AS I recall it worked. YMMV
