Manual check the file
/etc/mail/alisasses
it may contain a hard mapping the gui misses out on.

Another thing that may help; i had many times when a virtual site did 
not behave as it should (eg did not work at all, or mail problems) the 
config files and the gui were not sync-ed. Simply changing something 
through the gui, and then saving, and changing it back (saving again) 
can work miracles for "dead" or strange behaving virtual sites.
