Out of curiosity, has anyone tried or looked at Webmin as a linux GUI? It's not as customer friendly out of the box as the Cobalts (although it
could be made to be more customer-friendly). It's free, as in beer, and
works pretty well (IMO) for daily administration of linux boxen.

i have webmin on suse 8.1 on several machines besides the cobalts. I also added webmin to a cube3, and almost completely took out the cobalt gui. Also makes an interesting machine :)

I like the freedom of webmin/"standard" linux, i miss the quick-and-cant-forget-a-thing setup of the raq550 in it.

Bottom line is, i'll stick with the cobalts for as long as i can for the "standard hosting" setup's, and were moving over development and things like domino hosting over to the suse's

anyway, i think its a perfect, if you have some idea of the technicality's in unix, it will be to hard for the click & run admins.
