-BEFORE- you start the install the software do the
following:
cd
find /* > install-1
then go ahead with your install and setup.. Once
you're done with installing the software to the
following:
cd
find /* > install-2
then you can compare the two logs using the "diff"
command to see what changed and what was installed
using the following:
diff install-1 install-2 > Installed-Software
That will create a log of what changed/installed in
the new log Installed-Software..
Just FYI.. I installed Image Magick along with a few
others last night so I could run the rrdtool and
HotSaNIC software (which is amazing).. The installs
went off without a hitch.. I will say it took little
blue about 30 mins to build/make and install Image
Magick -so be prepared for a LONG wait while it does
it's thing.. :)
I also managed to get Exim 4.20 running on little blue
last night.. That MTA is fly! I have just one little
permissions thing to overcome with the lock file(s) on
mailboxes and it'll be ready to go as well.. Exim's
configs are so much easier to use/understand than that
cryptic sendmail.. :)
