Aha! Glad I could be of assistance.  However, I think Gerald won the prize
by proxy, as he helped me sort it out last year. :)

Interesting... I'll remember to try that should this happen to me again.

Good question.  It seems many people have experienced this problem.  I
believe mine occured when I rebooted the server during a high load.  I seem
to remember reading something on the Cobalt web site along the lines of,
"Sun technicians can assist you repair a corrupted PostgreSQL database" so I
assumed it was a common problem and something they were familiar dealing
with.
