Alrighty, I've figured out how to get rid of the alias (simply delete the
ifconfig file for it) and have rebooted the machine, just to be sure. Now
it no longer responds to the old IP address. That is good!
What is bad is that the machine is only occasionally accepting SMTP
connections. Most of the time, I'm receving server timeouts or connection
refused messages. Try this link and see what happens:

Somebody please kick me - I know I'm missing something, but I can't figure
out what it is!
