Take an old chip with you for size. The problem is size with the raqs

No, Yes,no,yes,yes :)
You can use pc133, you can put in 1GB ram with 2x512MB. The RAQ's were only tested with 512 max at that time, but support 1gb
Why not take the raq to your local dealer and test it ? if he is any good, he will allow this.
