I had the exact problem the Mark describes and his directions worked
perfectly. The only thing now my Mailing List are broken.
I get the following error on my mail client:
The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected
by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'mail-list@xxxxxxxxxx'.
Subject 't', Account: 'user -- mail.domian.com', Server:
'mail.domain.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.1.1
<mail-list@xxxxxxxxxx>... User unknown', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79
I made sure there were no duplicates in my virtusertable by running the
following:
>> /usr/bin/makemap hash /etc/mail/virtusertable <
/etc/mail/virtusertable
>> /usr/bin/makemap hash /etc/mail/access < /etc/mail/access
I uninstalled the 6402 and 6429 packages and forced the original rpm
install. I then reinstalled the packages and still cannot get my
mailing lists to work.
I also verified that the aliases.majordomo was in my sendmail.cf.
O AliasFile=/etc/mail/aliases.majordomo
I have tried the simple delete and recreate in the gui of the mail list
to no avail.
Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated. Please let me know if
you need any more info.
Thanks,
Ira Hall
