To see what's actually in the .db file you can do:
makemap hash -u virtusertable.db
That will "unhash" all the records in the file and display them. If for
some reason the .db file is ok you can do
mv virtusertable virtusertable.orig
makemap hash -u virtusertable.db > virtusertable
I'm thinking there's a way to extract all the relevant info from the
PostgreSQL database and rebuild virtusertable from scratch... actually
been on my "things to tinker with" list for a long time, after a customer
somehow did what you appear to have done. Never got around to it
though... :(
