Re: [cobalt-users] [qube3] rebooting takes over 1h!!

Hi there :)

Today I had to reboot my qube3 server once again..

Now it says 'checking drives' or 'Laufwerksprufung' in German :) and the
blinking '*'.
The whole procedure is taking now over one hour, I have tried to shut it
off and turn back on, but it always goes to the 'checking drives' and
hangs there.

- Is this a normal task?

- Does it always take such long time to finish?

- How can I bypass the check?

Thanks for any useful hints!

Cheers,

Hi Andreas,

I had similar problems with my qube after installing some updates, I don't know if this is a problem because I am using a 2.4.19 kernel or this is from somewhere else :-(

My workaround is to boot the qube from the rom, it will also test the disks but this normally doesn't go to long. After another reboot everything comes back from disk and works fine.

I have no idea what broke my qube, but maybe I can track it down, It's only my personal qube at home,
and therefore it's not a big problem.... for me

good luck

Daniel
