Earthlink blocks all SMTP that is not their's - that is, if you are dialed into them, you cannot send mail with your own SMTP host (your own domain name). We have a customer that uses some type of SMTP work around so they can be connected to Earthlink and send with their own domain name. Pain in the ass!!!!!!!!! They want to prevent SPAM from going through their servers and instead of a logical solution like pop-before-relay, they block you from using your own SMTP setup. Stupid, it sucks, makes your mail look unprofessional as it is from ELN and not your domain ... we know many people that have dropped ELN for this exact reason.
