RE: [cobalt-users] SOMEONE HELP!!! GRR :)

Er... well, I was going to say that our test server has all the latest
updates on it, but it doesn't have ANY updates. Heh. (Our production
servers have the latest updates.)

Yes, I did use rpm --rebuild to rebuild the MySQL packages (no custom
changes to glibc here). If you know how to backtrace MySQL, let me know
and I'll backtrace the segfault and send you the output (I'm not sure
what arguments need to be used in order to backtrace it with gdb.)

I really haven't looked into this in-depth, since we have a standard Red
Hat box that we use as our database server.

Ironically, I've noticed that some packages I've built on a stock RaQ550
refuse to compile once I install some updates. That could be the problem
we're seeing here. I'm having similar problems with mod_python and have
successfully backtraced it, but I'm still trying to pin down exactly
which RaQ550 software update caused the problem. mod_python works fine
on a stock RaQ550.

OK, so ... You installed the 550 OS, downloaded the 4.0.12 SRPM and just
rpm --rebuild it without changing glibc or whatever?

Thanks
